Halo Multiplayer between Xbox and PC

I read somewhere a while back that XbConnect would let you play Halo (the original) on a LAN between a PC and an Xbox. Am I just plain crazy or does anyone have some insight as to how to do this?
 
No, it can't be done. I don't know if you've used XBC... But you use the PC's network (the internet) to connect Xbox's, so maybe that's where the confusion lies.
 
nope, xbc just uses the PC as a tunnel to the net for the xbox. can't actually play pc vs xbox 🙁 🙁
