Here's one of my favorite quotes from the review:

We cut back to MC?s dream and we are back under the blood-red twin suns and close quarters combat with the Covenant. MC seems to be alone in this fight. The last of the Spartans. He fires into faces and chests of the Covenant troops at near point blank range. He is completed surrounded by the aliens. Under his feet are tangled carpets of bodies. The image whites out and fades back in to the Cyro-Storage chamber. MC wakes up. Two Cyro engineers are in awe of him. One of them is like Holy Christ, would you look at the size of it. His buddy tells him there?s a man in there. The door to the Cyro-Storage chamber cracks its seal, and then rises open. The Spartan lunges forwards, reflexively, snapped into consciousness. The two engineers jump back. MC reaches out to place a hand either side of the Cyro-Chamber, then steps out. He takes a moment as he surveys his surroundings. Looks to the left, then his right. Then down at the two men. He towers over them and they seem to shrink under the blank gaze of his visor as he speaks his first words on page 10 of this script. ?What are my orders?? Now that is dialogue. That is cool.

This isn't no "doom" or "Resident evil" movie...this is something else. No wonder Peter Jackson signed up once he saw the script.

well from what i read, it may be a review of the bogus halo script that was spread around the internet a little bit ago.

its not confirmed or not if its the legit halo script that is even reviewed. either way i'm steering clear from reading any spoilers.

and an oddly placed late 20th century-esque hummer vehicle mixed in with all these crazy spacecraft.

I'll reserve judgment until I see the movie. Though if past efforts are any indication no video game-to-movie adaptation to date has been good or entertaining, IMHO of course.

There are some that I'd consider good, some that were watchable, and some that were downright disgusting (Mario Brothers). If they pull this off it could be pretty badass, at least it'd become a cult favorite, like Starship Troopers. ST wasn't really a "good" movie, but it had the bewb, it had lots of gore, and people loved it.

Both Halo games had the most generic FPS stories in recent memory. How am I supposed to get excited about a movie?

Halo was great.

but not really for storyline reasons... just an amazing game for multiplayer console FPS. it was as good as it could get.

all those people that hate on the game just because its popular --> r teh sUx!

Yippie, another game into a movie. Now, that's original. :disgust:

Edit: Truth be told, I'd like to see the Bourne series books turned into a couple of movies...the actual book storylines, not what they did with the current movies. I'd also love to see "Red Storm Rising" turned into a movie but it would end up being something like 6 hours. :)
