Bought a bfgtech 6800 OC today and am running it with the 66.00 forceware drivers with dx 9.0c at stock speeds.
Oddest thing. The card works PERFECTLY in the games, especially halo, except after the level ends in multiplayer halo, when the score shows and everything, the screen starts showing corruption, like the memory was overclocked to high. Then the screen either locks up and freezes the computer, or the next level starts and I have to quit out because it looks like an abstract painting and I cannot see anything.
Ideas?
I've tried disabling fast writes in the video control panel, gone down to 4x agp, messed with 128 and 256 mb agp aperture sizes in the bios, etc.
Nothing works. I've tried different video drivers with the same problem.
Please help.
EDIT.. forgot to add, thinking it was an old ati driver problem from my old card, I did a fresh reinstall of windows, (format, reinstall from scratch, patch up to sp2, etc).
