Yeah, I'm fairly over Halo. For me, the first game was still the most fun, and while the later ones weren't garbage or anything (I think I played up until Halo 4), I just didn't enjoy playing them nearly as much, so I don't get hyped for them at all. Based on the trailer, not sure if they're trying to add some survival element or something, or why they're focusing so much on adding animals (probably some area where you trigger a stampeded to run down a bunch of enemies). Same with Gears of War, I just lost interested after the first one. The tactics one is kinda interesting at least.
The MS conference once again was so extremely lackluster and unhype.
Their conference was about as unhype as it gets. And any games to me that do look cool (like that Samurai game and the very first one they showed, side scroller with glowing character) aren't coming out until 2019. Hell most of the big games they showed aren't coming out until 2019.
When I heard the "exclusive world premiere" come up, and then they showed Forza Horizon 4, it was probably the most unhype moment of the conference. Like no one knew that was coming out. And then the guy kept talking about how the seasons change everything, but the only season that looked to change everything was winter due to snow being on the ground and lakes freezing. And for some reason it seems like they only think it rains in Spring and not in Summer, Fall, or Winter.
Especially in the UK. I have to be honest, that fact alone (it being UK) made me not interested. I'm sure the UK people will love it, but eh. Wonder if they're not planning on it being the final Forza for this gen, and just add more of the EU as DLC (France, German, Italy would definitely be ones they could do).
Microsoft should license all the data they are using to make the real places to other companies in exchange for Xbox exclusivity (stuff like the Truck Simulator games, where Microsoft could offer all the roadway and high quality assets, saving the company from having to do all of their own).
