I'm really not that impressed at the moment. Gears of War has spoiled me. The footage they show is much less impressive than the Locust and how they interact. Hopefully Bungie will prove me wrong...I'm still excited about the game...just not from what I've seen so far...but just because it is Halo 3.

I found the cover mechanic in Gears to be very satisfying.

Then you aren't skilled at the game. The game is more about teamwork and tactics than it is actual shooting skills.

They really aren't that comparable of games. If anything, they compliment each other. Gears of War has always struck me as the correct way for contra to have gone whereas Halo is just a fun co-op first person shooter.

I think it's high time people got over the Halo series. The original wasn't even that great.
