For those that haven't preorder or aren't going to be standing in line at midnight.

Do you think this game will be in short supply?

I have never seen a game sell out. Other than Bioshock.

It seems that you will be able to buy it everywhere (7-11 etc)

Just wondering if anyone has heard of shipment numbers?

doubt there will be a shortage. wal-mart, best buy, compusa, frys, and even radioshack will have copies. no need to worry about it...

With amount of demand for game, i wouldn't be surprised if McDonalds or ROSS started selling it

I don't how there could ever be anything more then a temporary shortgage of a video game. Unless the world starts running out of plastic to make DVDs and paper to print manuals.

OP - I don't think you'll be unable to find it. I didn't have any trouble finding Bioshock a few days after release - Circuit City still had it in stock even though they had it on sale. It's software, it's easy to mass produce.

With the way they've been marketing this thing, it makes me wonder if they're going to pull an Atari and make more copies of the game than there are Xbox 360s in the world. :D

Halo 2 didn't even have a shortage. I went the day it came out after school and EB had boxes full of it under the counter.

I used to work at gamestop. Even for the big games (madden, halo), we NEVER ran out of copies to sell. And even if we did run out of "sellable" copies, we just sold customers people's preorders that hadn't been picked up yet (in the hope that we got more in before they game to collect.) There really is no reason to preorder.

I just pre-ordered because I got the Limited Edition (I like the case :)). I knew they'd have plenty of regular copies, but I wanted to make sure I got a LE. But quite honestly, I didn't have anything to do so I just pre-ordered (paid in full) so I could just walk in and say, "give me my copy." Done. If I didn't pre-order and only got the regular H3, I'd be fine. No big deal.

Hmm... makes me wonder if XBL's servers are gonna crash on opening day from the surge in traffic.

I'll never understand the pre-order thing. Unless it's to save some cash like yllus did, why bother?
