Halo 3 Quick Question

So, I beat Halo 3 and watched the end, but when the credits came up, I hit the button to finish (didn't see a reason to sit there and watch the credits roll by). However, now I've read that the ending isn't complete until the after the credits finish. Is there a way to see the end again, so I can find out how the story actually ends?

Just play the last half of the last level (warthog run).

This also works to get the Legendary ending.

I dont get it, what was the significance of the extra few seconds at the end of the legendary trailer?

Youtube is an easy place to catch the ending if you don't want to go back through the last level.
