Halo 3 cheating?

Can somebody give me a heads up if there's cheating going on in Halo 3? I just played a couple of games against guys that appeared to be using some kind of aim bot. The one guy was getting 3 shot BR kills all the way from across the map. And it's not like I was standing still either (I'm level 37 so I'm not a biginner either).

Something just seemed odd. Anybody have some info on potential cheats to watch out for (I keep hearing about "lag cheat" but I have no idea what that is)

One way is by cutting off your upstream data for a few seconds while you still receive data from everyone else. There are devices you can buy that will do that.

Mod it

Oh please please please do not teach the click monkeys that all consoles are just closed-architecture PCs and that it is just as easy, once you have to development tools and software/firmware development experience, to cheat on a console as it is to cheat on a WinDoze PC.

It's possible. To my knowledge not many people cheat just because they don't know how, but it's very possible.

The BR is still broken and Halo (like COD but worse) has aim assist.

Built in aim assist or a mod?

The whole Halo series has been built on using aim assist. Maybe you should adjust your sensitivity settings so you notice it when you're tracking someone instead of over shooting.

If you make the mouse sensitivity lower, your aiming from distances improve because of less recoil-over-correction and your aim is more steady and fluid. Though when up close with a sub-machine gun or close range weapon, you lose mobility.

Wait, "mouse sensivity" on the Xbox version Regs?
