Halo 3 already in stores?

But considering the game went gold earlier this week it's pretty damn hard to believe heh.

I wouldn't think MS would have shipped out yet considering how long until launch, but then again I won't even begin to pretend that I understand the logistics of such a product launch.

Don't see why it couldn't be legit...could be empty cases for all we know, just shrink wrapped. Now if they had a picture of Halo 3 in a 360 and playing it, I'd be impressed.

Those look like the cases we got at our Gamestop store to display (we got a crapload of them, too). Except ours do not have any "16+" or any other stickers, or atleast I didn't see them when they were first unboxed. Of course, the promotional material most likely matches the final product, so who knows.

That would make sense. I think the 16+ is a European rating, that forum seems to be based out of Italy.

I was in gamestop the other day asking wtf was wrong with my PS3. saw Halo 3 boxes all over the back with $50+ price tags on them. They don't usually do that for pre-order, no? I assumed it had been released. Looked legit to me.

I saw a ton of, what appeared to be shrink wrapped copies oh Halo 3 at my local Meijers. They looked EXACTLY like what I expect the retail box to look like. Turns out they were all empty pre-order boxes.

I was gonna buy them all and put them on ebay.

Yeah, my friend is a manager at Meijer and saw them come in... he's not quite up to speed on the latest video games and we saw a poster for Halo3 the other day and he's like "Guess that was a flop because I don't think we sold a single copy when we got it in the other day."... and I was just kinda like WTF... Maybe he's talking about Halo 2 on PC... but he insisted that the T-Shirts they got in had the Halo 3 logo.

I worked at an EB Games when Halo 2 launched. We had the game well over a month in advance.

I call bullshit on that. I worked @ a gamestore during the Halo 2 launch, we got it in the day before. Almost all publishers are VERY reluctant to ship their games out before they have too. Game store clerks get their asses handed to them if they break the "street date" of titles, especially the cashcows like Halo 3, etc.
