The commercial is 60 seconds long.
It will air during Monday Night Football on December 4th. Sometime around 6-ish, PST.
That?s the US date. Everyone else will get a chance to see it soon.
An HD version will appear on marketplace fairly soon.
The commercial is a mix of CG and Live Action.
It is not supposed to represent gameplay.
It is supposed to show pure action from the Halo universe. Think of it like the Graphic Novel.
It was made by Hollywood effects house, Digital Domain.
Digital Domain did base its stuff on our in-game 3D models.
It is packed full of clues and stuff.
It is nifty.
We may host it on Bungie.net at some time in the future.

Are you guys talking about the one where he throws the shield grenade down, grabs the rifle, and then jumps into the group of bad guys?

That looks totally bad ass...

I am going to buy an xbox 360 just for this game. The first 2 halos rocked. This should be no different.

Make no mistake, halo 1 is my second favorite game ever, and I waited in line at midnight for part 2.

Yep. Didn't have the same effect as the GoW "Mad World" commercial but it was still pretty sweet.

I personally almost creamed when I saw it...I hadn't heard of it beforehand and wasn't sure if it was for the Halo movie (crossed fingers) or Halo 3...either way it was badass and made me excited....


....back to Team Snipers on H2 for me :)

*Ninja edit* I like it better than the Gears of War ad...that one has been overplayed imo and really doesn't showcase the game as well as the H3 ad does...sure there is the dramatic factor but too short and not enough game footage or action to really capture the game itself.
