Anyone have a idea on it's PC release?

I hear it's on pre order @ EB and what not..

Halo was a quick beat, still an awesome game with a cool ending.. (fun driving)

micro$haft wants to sell xboxs, making it exclusive xbox is a good way to do it

You know I don't understand why, as most people will still purchase it for XBOX, reguardless if it's for the PC or not..

And they should have tried harder on this current port...

I agree with the trying harder thing. I saw it running on a friend's comp and it looked sub-par. I don't understand why it took so long to port it (since they hardly changed anything and the XBox is basically a specialized PC). Plus, it REALLY sucks that they took out the cooperative campaign. For me, that was almost all of Halo's replayability.

i dont think it was a time issue, it was just so they could milk halo's "greatness" on xbox for all it was worth, they want to sell xbox's...they do fine in the pc market w/ their other games

I don't imagine Microsoft wanted to pay them a bunch of money to make it better than the xbox version, either.

And I don't think Halo 2 comes out for the xbox for quite awhile, and I doubt it will ever come out for pc.

PC release? I'd say anywhere between 2 years and NEVER!

Halo is the crappiest game for the PC. It runs like crap even on a top end computer. What a shame!

I consider myself a fairly technical person, yet I'm still afraid to stick a mod chip in my xbox for fear of breaking something.

Copying a PC game is something anyone with a burner and the right software can do. It doesn't take a super computer literate person to do it.

Piracy is WAY more rampant on the PC. Not to mention you can't really pirate and resell console games (which is done all the time with PC Software).

Besides, it's much easier to make an impressive looking game on the xbox, even with it's "inferior" hardware. Compare a PC version of halo with a GF3, p3 700, and 64mb of ram with the xbox version. Imagine the kinds of games we'd have for the PC if developers designed based only on a pc running the latest pentium 4 with a Radeon 9800 Pro.

Halo 2 will probably take years if it evers comes to the PC. They will probably wait till Halo 3 is about to be released for the X-Box before releasing Halo 2 for the PC. It's all about milking every drop out of the cash cow. That's how they did Halo PC.

I will say that Halo PC runs fine for me with all settings on High @ 1024x768. I get around 50-60fps on average based on the results of displaying my FPS in game via console. Then again, I do have a Radeon 9700.

I find it had to believe there is enough piracy to deter them from releasing it.

They are bringing DOOM to XBOX, why don't they make them wait... Same should go for Halo 2...
