Halo 2 PC question

Was going to buy a used copy of Halo 2 for PC (or Vista only I guess) and was wondering if there's any weird security features in the game like I wouldn't be able to play it on my computer because it's bound to some other guy's computer forever. Or would I just have to login to my own windows live account? Maybe it's bound to the original buyer's account?

I don't know what I'm talking about 🙁 - I know PC games are really strict with security measures these days though so I want to make sure.

Also why's the game still expensive? It's been out for a long time I thought. Most stores have it around $30.

Games for windows live as far as I remember.. But I don't really think halo 2 is worth more than 5$

Don't bother. Halo 2 PC is the most sorry excuse of a PC game I've ever seen. It's so horribly buggy it's ridiculous. If I saw it in a for free bin, I wouldn't pick it up.

Agree with this, particularly the last sentence. This game isn't even worth the bits on your hard drive.

The first Halo had major problems as well on the PC. Any patches for Halo 2? It has been out a while.

Good to know though, I don't like meeting craigslist people anyhow.

The game also runs like shit, totally choppy on my E6420@3ghz and 8800GTS 320mb. For a game it's age, it's inexcusable.

I never had a problem with neither Halo or Halo 2 on PC, they both run fine, but as far as fun goes playing them, that's another story, the original is miles better beyond the sequel, but nowadays none of them are worth playing much at all, we've pretty much moved on from the Halo franchise even before the third one was released, and it's also why they never bothered porting Halo 3 to the PC, with reason.

Seemed like they would have learned from the first port that went so badly. Same thing with the GTAIV port, it was unplayable at first. They eventually patched it a lot do to high demand. I guess they just don't care nearly as much about PC gamers 😛

Halo PC was okay, I played it a lot and liked it. Maybe it was just because I was a noob at the time, though...

Halo was one of my favorite games on the PC, Halo 2 sucked and I got rid of it after about an hour of playing it.

Halo 2 would at least be bearable on the PC if the crosshair wasn't permanently stuck below the center of the screen.
