How can a console game ever be the best game of all time when the PC version would pwn it graphically speaking? Not to mention that HL2 took 5 years to make, and Halo 2 took what? 3? In 5 years, that's enough time for some of the original fanatics to grow up and quit playing games. Halo 2 was soon enough after the first that almost all of the original fan base was there.

i think i was more impressed the first time a played splinter cell as well

multiplayer is pretty good but doesnt really distance itself from PC FPS games


best console FPS maybe but imo goldeneye was better for its time

but halo is and has been massively overrated.

I'll disagree. Halo 1 SP > Halo 2 SP. But Halo 2 MP >>>>>>>>>>>>>> Halo 1 MP over XBC by far.

I was one of the few who used to play H1 on XBC quite a bit - my cousins and I were all 3 shotters, but H2 is just bounds of fun to play over Live (I've been addicted to it like crazy the past week or two) . There's little lag and it's just a more frantic pace overall. (More evenly balanced imo)

Yeah, I'll give it that - the multiplayer modes are a little nicer, though I've only played split-screen.

I though gameplay and storyline in halo were significantly better than halo 2 though (which is weird, cause I assume they're on the same engine, maybe it was the level design, i dunno).

Oh no I agree about that part too - H1 gameplay/storyline was better overall. I thought H2's SP pretty much sucked, I hated sharing the gametime with some frickin alien and alien weapons. It's not called "The Story of Master Chief and the Alien Who Failed to Kill Him The First Time". And the ending. *kills Bungie* :| :|
