Halloween Parties in Southern California

Me, the wife and some friends are looking for a fun Halloween themed party or venue for this coming Saturday night.

As Halloween falls on a weekday, not sure how many people will be dressing up this weekend. We are looking for someplace to go on Saturday night where people will definitely be in costumes.

The obvious choices are Universal Horror Nights or the Queen Mary, but everyone knows about those.

We are looking for something a bit more obscure that definitely involves costume contests, possibly live bands and just a cool atmosphere.

So what are the fun things to do for Halloween in SoCal???

Universal Horror Night is pretty lame, I went last week. You can check out downtown Disney, last year they had some pretty sweet parties. The House of Blues usually has a Halloween party.
