Halloween HumbleBundle: Voxatron

Yeah, only one game so far... Voxatron - alpha version + all future updates.

Still, it's the HumbleBundle, and they're likely to add more to it.

Snatched 3 copies. Hoping they add a few more games so I can gift them to people. Also no steam keys but seems like a neat game to play and I love supporting indie devs.

I liked the trailer so....bought.

Edit: played for a minute...graphics are pretty neat in a retro kind of way, me likes 🙂

Game is pretty fun. Nice little time waster and a really neat concept/idea. Good thing to get in during alpha because there seem to be tons of things to do with this engine. I expect good things to come from this game in the future.

Agreed. The editor is super fun too, I spent 30 minutes making some rooms and liked it a lot.

Neat game, but controls need work. It seems like it's made for a dual stick type shooter like Geometry wars, but when I plugged the controller in the right stick didn't do anything.

I agree. But I like the concept. It's like (old Atari games) Adventure meets Berserk meets Gauntlet.

Each time a Humble Bundle is released I tell myself I'm going to get it then it times out before I make up my mind. So this time I'm just going to go ahead and purchase it right away.

Just finished it. Good little game. But as gorcorps mentions the keyboard controls make it 10x harder than it needs to be. You really need the infinite lives they give you.

I'm actually surprised at how well this bundle has sold so far. I picked it up right away myself, since it is a HumbleBundle 🙂 but didn't expect everyone else to be as sheep-like. Game seems like it will be a lot of fun.

Yea the controls are a pain in the ass. Excited to see where this goes.

A Steam key for The Binding of Isaac and Blocks That Matter is now included in the current Humble Bundle. If you haven't bought it you need to beat the average price to get them.

Sweet. I was interested in The Binding of Isaac already having seen it on steam a couple times. Now I'm more glad I bought the bundle already.

I wonder how they go about adding new games to the bundle. Do they ask developers to add them or do developers offer? It'd be interesting to see the latter. 🙂

Oh and I bought the bundle! 🙂

Pretty nice deal, I was kind of counting on new games when I bought this earlier as they usually add a few new games to each bundle.

It does bother me when they throw in the previous bundle for free however.

Playing Blocks That Matter. Nice little puzzle game. Interesting mix of Tetris, Sokuban, and platforming. But like Voxatron it's very awkward to play on a keyboard. Luckily it looks like it supports a gamepad! Don't have one to test it out though.

I was on the fence with this since it came out. From what you guys have been saying, I figured why the hell not...at best I'll like one, some or all, and at worst it goes to a good cause. I'll have to check them out sometime, my backlog is so full.

I just picked up a Logitech Wingman game pad from a thrift store the other day for $4 and I tell you these games are MUCH better with a game pad!!
