Has anyone ever set up a haunted house for Halloween? Do you recommend any Halloween sound CD's in particular?
I was thinking of leaving the doorstep and inside of the house completely dark(except for a jack-o-lantern or two) and leaving the front door cracked open with the creepy sound effects going. And then some kind of surprise once the door was opened. Maybe a hanging "body" or something, I dunno.
I'd spend some time here and there hiding in the bushes to scare the bejeezus out of some unsuspecting trick-or-treaters. If the kids stuck around, candy all around, of course.
I think music might be silly(not that this idea isn't), but the odd scream, running, door slamming, groans, etc would add to the ambience.
