MESA, Ariz. - Law enforcement found a man who claimed to be a vampire while they were checking up on sex offenders.

David Gray, 48, also sleeps in a coffin and drives a hearse, according to a report by 3 TV.

"He had permanent dental implants put into his teeth to appear like fangs," U.S. Marshal Thomas Henman said.

Law enforcement found Gray Thursday in Mesa.

"At that time they jumped out of their vehicles, ordered them down to the ground and he hissed at the officers," Henman said.

Gray was sentenced to a lifetime county probation for molesting his girlfriend's daughter, officials said.

He violated his probation in August by moving and not telling his probation officer, Henman said.

Gray is one of 30 sex offenders who have been arrested in the past week as part of "Operation: Safe Treat."

3 TV reports that law enforcement will check up on 400 convicted sex offenders Halloween night to make sure they are not putting out Halloween decorations or answering their door.

Seems like he's going to plead insanity . . .
