About 10 here.

Got 2 full size chocolate bars left and all of the "fun size" ones.

Left the light on in case there's any late trick or treaters but I think the rule of thumb is to stop by 10 so don't think I'll get more.

Oh, you guys mean live kids? Man, that's not in keeping with the spirit of the holiday at all. This thread is no longer fun.

0.

I guess people have been pussified. Granted, we have no sidewalks or street lights, (and supposedly that's the reason) but, hell in my youth, we'd wander from cave to cave without either of those. Running into wildlife was always a bonus...

I was working. 😫
Although we did end up with two dead bodies which seemed fitting.

I genuinely thought that this was a thread about how many people hot shot knocking on doors in the US to start with! Leaving relived! 😄

i stopped doing halloween in the 80s when everyone was putting needles in the candy

it was an epidemic, all over the news

I don't blame you; everybody doing it takes the novelty out of it.

For the last 5 years we've been doing the trunk or treat thing. I'm not sure how I feel about it. When I was younger, going door to door with others was the thing and I always had a blast. Now, since we do the trunk or treat, I feel like people who would normally hand out candy, just assume the kids would get their fill at trunk or treat and just not hand out candy. The trunk or treat lasts till around 730 or 8 pm, so every year I'd take my daughter actually trick or treating around our small town, and less and less houses are participating in handing out candy.

I get the idea about having a safe environment for the kids and all, but I feel like my kid is missing out on something.

Found a couple pieces of candy in my drive when I got off work today. A 3 Muskateers(meh) and a Snickers in the wrapper cost more than the candy size, but beats a blank.
