Yep. They typically do this. I was noticing Halloween stuff about 3 ago at the start of August in the Home Goods stores. Next month you'll start seeing Thanksgiving stuff. Typically they start selling about 3 months prior.
It's not earlier and earlier every year. Halloween decorations were being put out around this time last year, too. Christmas decorations will start hitting selective shelves in a few weeks, and then in higher concentration in another month or so.
I dunno, middle/end of August seems about the normal time Halloween stuff gets on the shelves. Xmas crap is already trickling in, and will hit the shelves in force on November 1st.
