Anyone else already seeing stores selling early for distant hollidays?

Just saw halloween stuff out at Lowes over the weekend. Sheesh, keeps getting earlier and earlier every year...

Yea I noticed this at the grocery store over the weekend. They've got Halloween candy out already.

Yep. They typically do this. I was noticing Halloween stuff about 3 ago at the start of August in the Home Goods stores. Next month you'll start seeing Thanksgiving stuff. Typically they start selling about 3 months prior.

You think that's bad, I just got the Sears Wishbook in the mail today. My mom tells me Costco is already stocking Christmas stuff.

The pumpkins are out in force. This is actually my favorite time of year.

It's not earlier and earlier every year. Halloween decorations were being put out around this time last year, too. Christmas decorations will start hitting selective shelves in a few weeks, and then in higher concentration in another month or so.

I dunno, middle/end of August seems about the normal time Halloween stuff gets on the shelves. Xmas crap is already trickling in, and will hit the shelves in force on November 1st.

I love Fall though. Wish it was a longer season.

There could be Christmas lights/decorations by mid Sept at Lowe's, just like last year. Thanksgiving stuff has started to come out like 2 weeks ago.
