Imperial Oil (Exxon's Canadian subsidiary) moved their headquarters closer to its operations in Alberta from Toronto, Ontario.
This is an interesting move and a sign of a global economy; it's nice to see an American company comfortable enough with the middle east to move there. No idea how this impacts taxation.

It certainly should not be listed as an American Company in any way shape or form.

They certainly should not get a penny of U.S. Taxpayer dollars they always get with no-bid contracts.

Oh come on.. they will still hire illegals to do the work.. just illegals from terrible middle eastern countries

It get them out of reach from US law before the dems can find all the dirt. And after they raped the USA, they are now free to also concentrate on the emerging Chinese and Indian markets.
Profits and corruption know no international boundaries. And Halliburton has been in the corruption business the longest when you count their acquisition of Kellog Brown& Root.

Hmmmm......After getting

1.) No bid contracts

2.) Over charging our goverment in the order of 2.7 billion dollars

3.) Exposing our troops to contaminated water from the Euphrates river.

4.) Using ill trained and armed Mercs / Contractors which resulted in the deaths and kidnapping of some of these contractors

They now repay our nation back in this way.

They are no longer a American company. They do not deserve to have our protection if they are not going to pay US taxes. I could give a shit about these assholes.

I don't see a problem with that. The American people have abandoned America for Asian crap.

Is Cheney building a mansion in Dubai by any chance for retirement?

Sad to say, but about half of Americans voted for Bush/Cheney again and again despite their close ties to
mindless corporate interest like Haliburton.

Now America got what it deserve from these a-holes.

They will continue to pay taxes for all revenue they earn in the US. They will alsp pay taxes to the country where they earn revnue. Before they had to pay taxes on revenues earned in another country to the US. The US is on the few counties with this kind of screwed up tax code on foreign revenues....

Bush should remove all US Forces from the region ASAP before the Dems take the White House. Wouldn't want a Cruise Missile to hit it! :p :D

Yeah apparently in 1975 they incorporated in the Caymans (tax shelter). So I wouldn't consider them American, but the guys with bombs strapped to their arses would.

Good for them.

Until the US stops punishing US based companies with bogus taxes what are we to expect? I am shocked more companies have not gone offshore.

Taxes kill industry. Worse, the more you burden them the more chance you have at losing them furthering your woes

Intresting thing is why people like Shiv and the rest of the Republicans would give no bid contracts of U.S. taxpayer money to these supposed "Non-U.S. Companies?

I thought I saw legislation passed that contracts like that have to go to U.S. Compnaies otherwise we could have Iran making ammo etc.

Of course Shiv and the rest would support that I'm sure too as long as the over Taxing U.S. companies are left out.

I am all for giving contracts to whomever does it best for the best price.

I just love parrots like you, always inferring what other people will do while never doing anything themselves.

As for the Iran jab, take your little strawmen home parrot.

Most Americans disagree.
