Hi,

I tried using runhide last night.

I can get it to run the seti client no problem but I can't get it to stop the client when it detects a certain process (I tried several.. notepad.exe, UD.exe, taskmgr.exe).
I want it to stop when taskmgr.exe is running !!!!!!!

Any ideas ?

Also, when it is hidden, and you hit "Alt F12" to unhide, what do you do then ? It looks like it wants you to type something eg a password ???

Nice program by the way..

🙂

cheers,

Col.

Wow, this is getting truly evil 😀

Maybe it would just be easier to recompile the kernel and substitute the idle loop with the appropriate DC project...

I just had a thought, renaming the cli to Idle.exe might throw more people off...

I've already renamed it to "idle.exe" myself 😉 Seriously, and I hope to do it to my roomates computer too, just for a gag (he runs S@H already, and I'll get him to join as soon as the academic year starts).

Damn, normally I only answer questions on our own forum, but since you guys are such great competitors....

You should enter the EXACT window name of the program you want Run 'n Hide to act on, so if the window says "Task Manager" enter this in the exclude list...

Yes you should type a password, it's hard coded, so if you don't have it (it should be in the readme) just e-mail me...

Thanx guys, if u have furthermore questions please visit our forum, I am spending a lot of time overthere... We have an international section where english is spoken...

Cheers mate!

This thread provided valuable information. Thanks🙂

Here's another idea. Rename the program as systrack.exe then leave a note in the computer area warning users not to engaged in any activity that would violate the computer usage policy and in big letters - ACTIVITIES IN THESE COMPUTERS ARE MONITOR BY THE SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR then sign your name.😉

Show them you have full control and authority!!!
