Hall of Fame Category

Theres been so many great threads like the buying beef online thread. Its hard to find threads using the search feature when ppl reference famous threads. Maybe there should be a category and 'hall of fame' threads should be put there. kthxbye

Great threads? Or just well-known threads? The greatness is arguable.

It seems (to me anyhow) that adding a forum for these would result in 2 more places to look for a thread - is it in OT? No? How about archived OT? No? Hall of fame? No? How about archived HOF?

Oddly, I can summarize the best known threads in 1 post:
.999... = 1
The plane takes off.
Alternator sized beef is not "bulk."

btw, what determines when a thread meets this standard? Wouldn't it have to be archived first? Else, you'd move an active thread. Based on the number of posts? "what are you listening to right now" has a ton, but in no way do I think anyone thinks of it other than a large nef collection with little substance.

It's not too bad of an idea, just doesn't seem it'd work that well.
I do believe there's a wiki page out there somewhere that does point to some of the best known threads.

Any thread I post in would need to go into the hall of fame.

Maybe a search by rating or something would work. Not by the actual rating, but by the number; that would denote a thread with lots of views. Or maybe a search or order by number of views.

That's an excellent idea. Have you guys thought/maybe will think of putting such a feature in?
