Halflife lost coast wants me to debug it?

Uhh... HL lost coast has crashed for me two times in the whole hour I've spent trying to play it, and Visual studio keeps popping up asking me if I want to debug it. Shouldn't you know... valve... have done that before they sold it to me?

Anyone know what the hell's going on here? I've not changed any settings on my rig and I've never so much as hiccuped running anything else... including HL2, ep1 and ep 2.

I got a BSOD! I havent even SEEN a BSOD since win98. Wooooot!

This shit's crazy. Maybe lost coast has some issue with 174's

Nevermind me. I had measured my PSU earlier today to see if a replacement would fit, and turned down my cpu fan... and my northbridge is passively cooled (shitty old NF2 era aluminum fin Heatsink)... which overheats even without overvolting it. So It was northbridge overheating due to less airflow off the cpu fan causing all these problems.
