Haven't seen many NBA threads so I thought I'd throw in one at the 1/2 way mark....All Star Weekend is about here....so let's here some thoughts...here are mine.

Again...the West looks like the dominant conference. Dallas is looking unstoppable and Phoenix with Nash and Stoudemire look amazing...and you could never count out the Spurs. But you could see lately that Phoenix will struggle if Nash is hurt.

To me the best the East have are the Cavs, Pistons, Heat and Chicago.....the Pistons are playing great ball now with Webber..the Cavs seem to be struggling...the Heat are starting to turn things around winning 7 out of their last eight. Chicago even with the addition of Big Ben are not a championship team yet.

My prediction....rematch of last years finals Dallas vs Heat with Dallas winning it in 7. I just don't think the Pistons have enough fire power to match Wade, Shaq, Posey, Haslem, Kapono and the added Eddie Jones. Dallas is just a step above Phoenix. I don't know about the Spurs...I just saw Miami spank them last week at American Airlines Arena.

Even though I think that Dallas is on a mission...I can't count out the Heat 100%....I wouldn't be totally surprised if the Heat win back to back ships.

What's there to talk about? I'm a Kings fan, and this season has been dominated by apathetic play from them. As always, they have some serious talent that's just going to go to waste until they find a decent big man. The team seriously hasn't been the same since Vlade left.

So, ya, they'll probably end up in 8th and take the #1 team to 7 games and lose in OT like every other year.

The Phoenix Suns are incredibly dependent on Steve Nash! With Nash, they're title contenders.

My Mavs are winning, but have had a lot of close games. They're shutting teams down . . . :Q

Spurs's era may be passing.

Heat are hot! Can anyone stop Dwayne Wade?

Kings stink. They need to make a trade and shake things up. Wish they could somehow get Pau Gasol.

I have to agree. I used to love watching games, hell, I was 4-year starting varsity @ my High School. Now, Basketball is the least interesting to me of all sports....it's kinda sad. :(

If Webber plays up to his expected potential (we're not expecting too much to begin with), we'll be very dangerous...having that swagger again will mean a lot.

I think Detroit will get past Cleveland & Miami this year, thanks in large part to CWebb. Gonna be a great playoffs in the last two rounds of both conferences, gonna be a great finals series!

Huge bulls fan here! They do need to do something and I am on the fence as to who you give up. Gordon could drop 100 one night but Deng is going to be an all-star. Can you trick someone into sweetney, brown, duhon and a #1 for a big who can score? Otherwise, they are going to have to move one of them for what they need.

Dirk and Wade are having monstrous seasons this year. However, I see a Phoenix-Miami finals situation.

The Raptors are taking the East. They dismantled the Bulls yesterday, and they're doing the same thing to the Nets today. ;)

The Suns and Raptors will meet in the Finals and there will be a titanic clash of both of Bryan Colangelo's brainchilds. :D

DWade scores at will...last week vs the Spurs...he had 8 pts going into the 4th.....he ended up with 26 pts...

If the Heat are 100% healthy....they may win it all again...

Dallas is looking sick though...damn good team with a mission....
