Half of the Ram is Showing

Hey Guys;

I building a new mining rig but am facing a strange problem, only half of the ram is being recognized.

My build is:
CPU: Intel Celeron G1840
MB: ASROCK H97 Anniversary
Ram: 1 of G.SKill 1333Mhz 8Gb CL9
Storage: 120Gb Kingston SSD
VGA: Sapphire R7 370 4Gb

What am getting is 4 GB of Ram.
 
Give us the model number from the ram stick. My guess is that your 8GB stick of ram is actually from an 8GB 'Kit' of ram. So it's really just a 4GB stick.
 
embarrassed to say but you are right. The ram stick are from my first build and for some reason I thought I had a total of 32 Gb from 4 ram sticks, which I just noticed now are 4gb sticks.
