For some reason I can't quite understand why we're supposed to care about that how psychopaths treat others is a reflection on how they treat themselves.
In my opinion, their racism and bigotry is not the result of self-hatred but a lack of self-awareness. In order for hatred of others to be indicative of self-hatred requires the self-awareness that others are like oneself. And that is the last thing these bigots have.
Quite the opposite, their bigotry requires the assumption that others are not like them, that they are somehow subhuman, and thus worthy of whatever evil they see befit.
Wow, I am in shock and am in no condition to attempt to answer your question and address your viewpoint until I get that matter off my chest first. I think I just read an intelligently presented point of view and a seriously curious question and that's it. No accusation as to how stupid I must be to think as I do, no deflections no guile or cunning, just a request for an explanation. Thank you for that.
The first thought I have regards projection. According to my understanding of the nature of psychological projection it consists of seeing in others feelings that you yourself and not the other person is feeling, and blaming them as awful people for feeling those feelings at the same time. Thieves see other people as thieves and radiate suspicion. Liars believe others are not saying the truth, that they are deceptive. But they do this unaware that it who they are themselves that they see in others, no? So the psychopaths you mentioned above would treat others in ways that would express how worthless they are because they were exposed to that treatment themselves, as what make the psychopaths. So those who were made to feel worthless treat others as if they were without any awareness they feel worthless themselves. The delusion that the other is what he is is a protection mechanism, a way to project one's hidden and unconscious self hate onto others who thus become your own target of hate.
If you prefer to think of the problem as a lack of self awareness that is fine by me but what they are unaware of is that what they hate in others is what they were taught to hate in themselves. But the important point is that what we were taught is a lie. We were never actually worthless. It was a lie we believe. So awareness is the door out but nobody will open it because we hate ourselves and we feel we deserve it. We bought the lie under great pain and to undo it we will feel that pain again.
The reason we believe the other is not like us is because we are unaware that the reason we hate them is because we project they are actually exactly like how we are and will not see. All hate is self hate so stop hating because all hate is based on a lie that something is wrong with us. That and that alone is what is wrong with us.
As children we were put down. We learned to think in language, to name and to evaluate, discriminate, judge, and compare. All of that is colored by memories of the past, are we good are we bad, all connected and long forgotten by associations of pleasure and pain with words. What is the conscious state we were in before we could speak and think? Weren't we our genetic potential being, unrealized and replaced to an ego thinking programmed machine?
I hope this helps. Paradox appears as truth is revealed, I believe.
