I just upgraded to XP from 2K, and now, when I try to launch HL or any of the mods, I get "Half-Life has a known compatibility issue with this version of Windows. For an update that is compatible with this version of Windows, contact Sierra." Well, I reinstalled HL, downloaded and installed all the updates, and I still get the message. If I continue, and try and join a multiplayer game, I get some .dll error message. Anyone know what gives?

run windows update... get the compatiblity mode update and then right click on your shortcut/executable and in its properties make it run in windows2k compatiblity mode.

Maybe... I am not having any issues with HL in WXP.

Did you already have HL installed or did you install HL AFTER you upgraded the O/S. If you already had HL, I would strongly suggest you uninstall and reinstall HL. That should do the trick.

PS. Make sure you have the 1.09 or 1.08 HL patch.
