I just installed the Catalyst 3.2 drivers, and some performance issues have been fixed, but now I'm having trouble running Half-Life. It runs in a small corner in the upper left hand side of the screen, and if I alt tab out and then alt tab back, my machine locks up. Can this be fixed under the Catalyst 3.2 drivers, or do I have to go back to the old ones?

I'm unsure of this particular issue but Cat 3.2 and Half-Life (CS in particular) are known to not get along well.

Cat 3.4 should be released tomorrow (today), give those a try. :)

This is a known bug in HL; the crashing from Alt-Tab is a DIFFERENT known bug in the Cat drivers.

Solution:

1) Downgrade to Cat 3.1 until Cat 3.4 is released
2) For the HL problem, hit escape, then resume game.

Where do I go to check for thenew drivers, I don't know of any good ATI board sites.

Rage3D ,their site is down at the moment but I`m sure it`ll be back up soon, their forums are also very good for ATi owners for info, feedback, technical support etc.

Thank you, that was the site that I was thinking of.

BTW, you say that 3.4 is coming out today...what about 3.3, is that available?

The 3.3's don't exist. The catalyst drivers go from 3.2 to 3.4, skipping 3.3.

if the game was out first wouldnt it make it a driver bug and not a HL bug?
