Half Life/Nihilanth/2nd teleportation..........How do I get out a here?

Ok I Killed all flying thingies and I think I have to hop on and ride one of the orbs as they rise toward the teleporter. But when I get on one It acts as if it is crushing me... slowly drains life and I cant get off of it or away from it. I have tried hopping up and down on top of orb and that worked some... I am so close I dont want to give up now!! Thanks all for help.
 
I don't know what to tell you. I have played thru halflife several times and never encountered the problem you just described. Perhaps this is a bug with an earlier version, so you might want to try getting the latest patch if you need it.
 
installed latest version and still no go... have tried stepping sideways, getting to leading edge ,trailing edge I always seem to get hung like on the ceiling.... Maybe I'm just too tall.... That would be a first.. 🙂
 
If you ride the orb up the shaft to the ceiling, then you have gone too far. You have to jump into the teleporter light before reaching the ceiling.

[Edit]If you are getting hung on the ceiling at the bottom of the shaft, try crouching. 🙂
