Half Life/Nihilanth/2nd teleportation..........How do I get out a here?

Ok I Killed all flying thingies and I think I have to hop on and ride one of the orbs as they rise toward the teleporter. But when I get on one It acts as if it is crushing me... slowly drains life and I cant get off of it or away from it. I have tried hopping up and down on top of orb and that worked some... I am so close I dont want to give up now!! Thanks all for help.

I don't know what to tell you. I have played thru halflife several times and never encountered the problem you just described. Perhaps this is a bug with an earlier version, so you might want to try getting the latest patch if you need it.

Try stepping sideways a little bit, not so much as to fall off.

installed latest version and still no go... have tried stepping sideways, getting to leading edge ,trailing edge I always seem to get hung like on the ceiling.... Maybe I'm just too tall.... That would be a first..

If you ride the orb up the shaft to the ceiling, then you have gone too far. You have to jump into the teleporter light before reaching the ceiling.

[Edit]If you are getting hung on the ceiling at the bottom of the shaft, try crouching.
