I think BestBuy has it onsale for $20 with $10 mail in rebate? Something like that, search the forum...

EDIT: actually, Half-Life was $20 with $10 rebate, Counter-Strike was $17.99 with $10 rebate... So $7.99... I don't know where the thread is though.

some people don't have retail vs. of halflife so they can't play online. the retail cs allows you to play online.

Oh yea. For those of you who have been living under a rock all this time. And don't know that Counterstrike has more players then unreal tournament and quake 3 combined...Click here

You'd be better off buying Half-Life for $20 and then just downloading CS for free. Then you'd have both CS and HL singleplayer. Its a much better deal than paying $30 for multiplayer only, if you ask me.

I agree lepper boy and DOA. just grab Half Life at your local store "recycle bin" because this game is cheap now.
Also about this counterstrike game....
I have been following this game ever since beta 1.
This game is really good and it's worth it.
Download it for free and log on...... look for Nostradamus =)

Yep, buying HL and then downloading CS 1.0 is the way to go. HL is a good game too. I prefer the single player personally. HL multiplayer is no different than Quake3 and therefore BORING!!
