Half Life 2 with dx8.1 path??

i've seen a couple of benches and the dx8.1 path seems pretty fast for a 9100, so does ne1 know whether the full released game will have this feature or not?(choosing a dx8.1 path) , i just wanted to know cuz i would like to vs my bro in a couple of lan games.. thanx for ur time.

which code path do you think it will have, dx9?

 
Of course it will work. The game was designed to be backwards compatible so you won't need a dx9 card, just like virutally every other game.
