Graphics card: geforce 6800
Display: Dell 2405 (24")
Game: Half Life 2
Half Life 2 "Recommended" Settings: 1680x1050 (16:10); Model Detail: HIGH; AA Mode: 4x; AF: 8x; Texture Detail: HIGH; Texture Detail: HIGH; Water Detail: REFLECT WORLD; Shader Detail: HIGH; Shadow Detail: HIGH; Wait For Verticel Sync: DISABLED; Direct X 9.0
Halo 2 STRESS TEST: 28 FPS (choppy!)
I know that the graphically intensive Half Life 2 can't really be displayed on the Dell 2405 at full native resolution (1920x1200) with my gforce 6800--the video starts to break up top.
The settings above are what the Half Life 2 game automatically recommended.
Can any of you gaming pros RECOMMEND OPTIMAL SETTINGS for my system..........
Edit: When I drop the AA to 2x, my frame rate increases to 53FPS....Better?...I guess....but what do you guys recommend?.........
