Half-Life 2 on desktop and notebook

I want to buy Half Life 2 and install it on both my desktop and my notebook PC's. Is one CD key and one Steam account enough?
 
Yup.
You just can't play on both at the same time.
A Steam account ties HL2 to one user, not one computer.
 
yes, i'm pretty sure u can. Im not totaly sure about HL2 but CS:S i have on my computer in my room and my copmuter in my basement. i can play CSS on both of them just not at the same time. my guess is HL2 would be the same. only way to know for sure is to try it.
