Half Life 2 Lost Coast

I don't know what the other people were expecting, but personally I was expecting a expansion pack that I would have to purchase to play.

What I'm now reading is that Lost Coast is a free, but only a 10 to 15 minute level (that is also just a demo for HDR technology, if you chose to be cynical about it).

I thought we're going to get a continuation of the HL2 story. (Or the ending of the story, if you chose to be cynical about it).

What did I miss?

Lost Coast has always just been a tech demo.

Aftermath will be a Expansion which you will have to pay for and it is rumored to be out before X-mas
