Ok, my half life 2 keeps locking up. I am playing for a bit, like around 5 min, and then I see a bunch of graphical glitches appearing on screen, slowly and then more and more come. It looks similar to graphical glitches that you would get from a high vid card OC or something. My vid card is running at stock speeds and my cpu is overclocked, but I ran it at stock speed also and the game still locks up and freezes my system forcing me to power down and reboot. My current system specs are:

3200 winchester @ 2.5 250x10
1 gig OCZ pc4000 ram 2x512
MSI 6600 GT pci-e vid card
160 gig serial ATA hd
sound blaster audigy 2 zs platinum
Asus SLI-Deluxe motherboard

I run half life 2 at 1280x1024 max max detail all cept AA/AF, the game runs silky smooth but freezes up my system ! What can I do ?

Sounds like there might be a temp issue. Is one of the fans broke? Also, make sure you disable "Fast write" in the bios.

Also one more thing, I can't seem to find a program to show me my video card temp, and the MSI one is useless, do you know any that read pci-e cards on SLI boards? Thanks.

Its in the nVidia display properties panel, so right click desktop, properties, settings )tab), advanced...and poke around.

In you BIOS, I have no idea where it is except for the fact that its somewhere in the chipset/AGP properties.

Ok wow, I just played a bit of world of warcraft and ran around outside, minimizing to check on temps in nvidia control panel, and they jump to 90 C !!!, normal is 47 and it only goes up. It must fry in half life 2, is that a high temperature?

Yikes, thats a bit too high. Open up your case, ground yourself before touching anything (just touch the metal case), and then check to make sure the fan is working on that card.

The fan is working, I checked with my flashlight and its spinning. I just tested half life 2 and the temps went to extreme !!! 127 is my core slowdown warning, and it went up to that, I think thats when the game locks up and crashes my system. Wow this is ridiculous, are all the msi 6600 GT pci-e cards like this or just mine ?

No, they're not all like this. If you're sure the heatsink and fan are working properly, I think you need to RMA this card. :(
