By Vivendi, but the Valve folks lied after that and said they knew nothing about any delay, and implied the schedule was still hunky-dory.

Oh well, I have a few other games to play through anyway, no hurry.

Uh this is old news, of course it was never "confirmed" but none the less it was known. It was pushed back from that date, last month. Its really simple really, id knocked back Doom IIIs release till next March. Valve/VU decided it would be wise to further "polish the game" and release it during the biggest shopping season of the year. For one, I dont blame them, its a very smart buisness move.

It will come out atleast the week before Thanksgiving, to ensure proper supply to retail channels for holiday shopping season.
