Half Life 2/ Counterstrike souce F@#KING UP!!!!!

hi i installed half life 2 and counter-strike source then my comp fuked up, i reinstalled it and now when i run it i get a Microsoft Visual C++ runtime error like this

program: ...eam\steamapps\amityville01\counter-strike source\hl2.exe

plz can some one tell me how i can fix it

sorry its just that i didnt get to play it much before my hard drive threw it in and i would really like to play it again.

Maybe install the .NET framework? I'm not too sure though.

I don't recall anyone posting anything here about runtime error and HL2

FIXED IT. I just tried direct x 9.0c and it works
