Does the Half-Life 2 Regular Box (ie not collector's edition...) include DoD:Source, HL:Source, and CS:Source?

I go with this. If you buy the Bronze package on Steam it's like $49 bux or so, and it comes with CS:S. Retail at BeastBuy I think is $50+. I don't see them including DOD:S and HL:S in the regular retail box for little more than the Bronze package price on Steam.

The best deal is the Silver Steam package. Although, with the way this game has been handled (HL2!, Sept 2003!, no wait.... some one stole our code!!... but we caught them!.... the game has an awesome multiplayer.... no wait it's just a remake of Counterstrike!.... buy it on Steam now and you can play Counterstrike!... holy crap, we're getting sued by Vivendi! Steam roxors!!! Holy crap, I bought the game at Best Buy! Damn! It is broken!)...

I don't want to give money to anyone involved with Half-Life 2 the way they've put us through the drama that they have. Still, I'll be picking up the Silver Steam package. After all, it's Half-Life 2.

you will have to get the silver edition steam package if you want that. Get it through steam, plus you wont be giving money to vivendi

Is there any way to backup Steam downloaded software or to redownload if it was lost or is it a one time thing.

I never bought anything from steam before and I don't want to risk loosing my purchase?

There is a backup feature of steam. Right-click on the game in the play games panel and select backup.

It may only work once its realeased though... I can only get the option for CSS at the moment.

I believe it gives you a CD or DVD option as well, but no quote on that. I dont have a DVD burner so I am not looking for that option :)

yes, but you can redownload it by just logging back into steam with your login and password. You can redownload it as many times as you want. I have redownloaded CS about 6 differant times in recent formats with no problem. I will look for the link to how to back up steam files when i get back, but there is no point really, since you can easily redownload it.

And I am amazed how fast it downloads that stuff! The CS:S and HL:CS downloaded in like 15min. HL2 on the other hand, took about 5 hours :)
