My D-Link DI-624 has a built in cable tester, and I happened to notice that the reg cat5 cables running form the router to computers is full duplex, but what stood out is, the cable connecting the cable modem and the router is only half-duplex. Anyone know if this is standard, or if this shouldn't be and I need to fix this right away? Thanks alot.

This is standard, because DSL/cable is half-duplex anyway. Your modem port on your router is most probably 10mbit/s only too.

Ok thanks MG, Just trying to single out issues I'm having with wireless drop-outs. Making sure that wasn't part of it.

Wireless "Drop-In", or "Drop Out", or any thing else concerning Wireless has nothing to do with the Internet connection.

The Wireless is a LAN subtitue to Wire, and should be configured to work well even if you do not have Internet connection at all.

Well we do, but I'm not entirely sure that's the problem.. I have two computers wirelessly networked and they are in the same room (my wife and I both like to game) my pc stays connected and hers constantly loses internet and has to be repaired, refreshed, however you want to call it... I've tried using both the client that came with her wnic and windows to configure and it doesn't seem to matter. I usually let the computers obtain the IP info automatically, but I specified an IP in her machine and set the DNS info and it seems to be doing it less frequently now..but it still does it. I think I'm going to upgrade the router in the near future. I also set it to run on channel 11 as opposed to 6 to see if that would help any interference from the phone.
