Half.com to buy textbooks, good idea or no?

I need to buy a ton of textbooks and a lot of them are freakin expensive .. anyone use half.com ? Seems everyone has theirs listed as "like new", kinda iffy. I don't want any writing or crap on my books, I doodle enough as it is.

Sellers misrepresenting their books on Half.com run the risk of being suspended. If you buy "Like new" or "excellent" books, you'll be fine. Make sure the person you're buying from has good feedback (I never buy from someone with less than a 4 rating).

Try TextbooksAtCost (now TextbookX)...I've consistently found them to have great prices and low shipping...they sometimes do not have the widest selection, but they're pretty good (and they have wonderful customer service).

I bought textbooks several times on Half, no problems. I don't mind a little writing or highlighting, it doesn't affect the resale value when I sell it back.
