Does this mean you don't have to be baptized now? Or do you just go straight to hell instead?

Changing the rules because they don't quite make sense?

Sounds like typical catholicism.

"The conclusion of this study is that there are theological and liturgical reasons to hope that infants who die without baptism may be saved and brought into eternal happiness..."

Because they're foolish enough not to realize that it proves that they've been making it up all along. Besides, the faithful are already so committed to the lie that it just doesn't matter if they keep backpedaling out of their mistakes.

Heaven: Boring puffy clouds and angles playing harps. Dorks who tuck in their shirts with the belt up to their nipples playing hide and seek.

Hell: Beethoven, Darwin and Nietzsche hanging out by the bar. Hendrix, Randy Rhoads, Jon Bonham and Jim Morrison playing in the local band. Scantly clad succubi hand out expensive cocktails.

I'm so there dude.

catholicism is laughable. its modern form is something born out of convenience. nothing more. twist it any damn way you want to make life easier for you.

As long as the Catholic Church approves of evolution and other science, they can make up whatever afterlife rules they want. Unfortunately, this will draw a lot of criticism from rock headed protestant fundamentalists.
