Hi ,

Has anyone every tried using a big hairdryer on the cold setting instead of a fan above there heatsink ?

I was amazed at the power and cold air that it produced compared to my strongest heatsink fan ( TT Smart fan II on the V9 )

Im gonna try this for real as soon as i can get a jig to hold the dryer in place .

If anyone else has tried this please let me know and tell me what results you had .:D

Hrmm, from 2.6ghz to hairdryers? Hehe, I don't know the specifics to electricity and magnetism, but that might cause some interference with your components.

Hair dryers give off way to much EMF. Read the CPUC study of power lines and cancer, I doubt you would want to use a hairdryer after that.

heh, i used to use a 24inch square house fan pointed right into my case, like, i taped it to the open left side. Kept my celeron 366@550 really nice and cool. haha, old school cooling solutions.

I thought most of the high speed deltas and tornados sounded like hairdryers anyway.
