For the past week it has felt as if I have a hair in the back of my throat. I cannot remove it. I have tried everything I can think of. I have tried many suggestions from friends to remove it. Here are the things I have tried:

1.) Eating bread, chips, or anything coarse.
2.) Gargling w/ water, saltwater, warmwater, etc.
3.) Jamming a toothbrush down my throat
4.) Coughing, clearing my throat

This is SO annoying. I am almost to the point where I am going to go to the doctor. Does anyone have any other suggestions before I have to make a visit to the doctor??

You prolly scraped it thats all, and it "feels" like a hair. Just gragle with warm salt water, and perhaps suck a soothing lozenge.

Yah, you probably just scratched it. Feels exactly the same, but you can't get rid of it. You can scratch it by, say, JAMMING A TOOTHBRUSH DOWN YOUR THROAT, or, hmmm..., EATING BREAD, CHIPS, OR ANYTHING COARSE.;):)

Seriously, just let it heal for a while more. If it is still there after say, a month, maybe then consider a doctor.

I didn't know that allergies produced the sensation of a hair tickling the back of your throat everytime you breathed.
