I just saw an infomercial for "Epil Stop". Basically this stuff sprays on and then you wipe it off and all the hair (body hair, facial hair, whatever) comes off with it. They had some really ultra hairy people and a few times during the commercial they gag reflex was unvoluntarily induced. My question is, isn't that kinda counter productive?? Won't the hair grow back thicker and faster after using that stuff for a while?

No.

The myth that hair grows back longer and thicker is just that, a myth. Look at it this way: The only portion of the hair that is alive is a few layers under the skin, so your hair has no way of determining its own length, and would not be able to react to being shaved, cut, burned off with chemicals, etc.
