Ok, after waiting for a haircut at Hair Cuttery im a little ticked...

Why do places that do not accept appointments have a LARGE appointment book on their counter?

I waited for 2 hours today while countless ladies walked in and said they had an appointment ang got right ahead of the line. Meanwhile about 6 of us guys had to wait in the chairs outside for all the them to finish. After all was said and done, i asked the guy at the counter if i could make an appointment over the phone next time so i didnt have to wait. Ya know what his responce was? "WE DONT TAKE APPOINTMENTS"

Anyone else get this same crap at their local haircut place/barber shop??

you can
a) go to a less populated place
b) do it yourself
c) have a friend/other person do it for you
d) grow it out
e) wear a cap

what's so special about 'hair cuttery'? are they like 'hair masters' or something like that? I get mine at a salon. avg is $20 per cut/shampoo but it's worth it

Ehhh, hasn't happened to me. But i've only been once. Could it be that THEY were waiting, and they (d00d doing the appointments) penciled it in? When i walked in, there were 2 people ahead of me, and their names were 1st. Then, I i got on the chair, and a s#itload more people came, and their names were put it. It might be that...

The only reason why I can think that they would call ahead was if they wanted a perm or color - something that would take up a lot of time. They also might have wanted a specific hair dresser but if that's the case, there isn't any reason why they wouldn't let you do that. Maybe it was because they charge more for a woman to have their haircut (usually) and they wanted to make more moeny. Either way, I'd talk to the manager or go somewhere else.
