I am selling a Nokia 9290 on Ebay and I got this e-mail today:

Dear Sir / Madam ...

I have seen your item on ebay auction and I'm interest to make a deal with you, and for the payment are you accept credit card directly?, if you have capability using a machine or merchant account or maybe some one who have owner to check my credit card direct please let me know ASAP, cause I look forward for this. I'll send you my credit card details through email, if you agree for this term I'll bid for USD $ 500.00 per items and i need 5 items for reseel again, but i want include shipping cost use FEDEX SERVICE for delivery service So I can get tracking number to allow my package. to calculate shipping cost I'll give you my zip and city and here they are:

He says he can't use the typical online payment system such as paypal, etc... but he's asking if the seller has a merchant account (something that accepts creditcards), he'll buy the item through there.

I'm not too sure how much of a scam this is... with a merchant account, you can verify the information on the creditcard... and if the information matches, i would go for it. Of course if his creditcard happens to be a US creditcard, with a US account, and he wants it ship to Indonesia, that's obviously a scam.

That's what I was thinking. I have access to a verification program too. But I'm like 99 percent sure this is a scam.
