No, the organ. Also played a mean rusty trombone.

is Joe Francis still in jail?

Just got released

How a pissed off dad/brother/bf hasn't blown this guy away yet amazes me. How many girls went out, got drunk and only the next day been told what the hell they did the previous night? If I was Joe, who is reportedly worth well over $100M, I'd close up shop and thank my lucky stars I'm not dead yet, and move to south america or something.

I respect Joe Francis and honestly have never watched one of his vids. He's just a good business man, it's not his fault those chicks wanna take off their tops for his cameramen. He even says that now he doesn't even have to say anything girls just rush the camera when they see it willing to get naked/etc

Yep, he's a class act. Very respectable. Even the girls he's raped think so.

I read that article and there's some holes in the author's story. Also her credibility has been questioned. It just doesn't seem all that true to me. But believe whatever you read ESPECIALLY opinion editorials I guess that's the correct way to judge someone  I really think the author of that article just wanted to get some recognition and get her name out.

About the accused rape charges...

Personally, it's hard for me to believe that a man who has slept with playboy models, top 10 models, celebrities, etc would really want to rape a girl who just turned 18 who didn't even look all that great...I've seen these type of girls - slutty ass golddiggers - who get a little drunk and get hypnotized if they see a celebrity or someone who is extremely rich and they want to, and usually do, end up sleeping with them. They wake up in the morning and realize the rich guy didn't buy them anything and won't ever speak to them again so they create these stories to try and gain publicity/bring negative attention to the rich guy and/or make some money. It's happened to so many celebrities it's absurd..

Also two of the women who also accused him of rape withdrew their charges after they realized they had no case. I mean when you rape someone they usually don't stay in your hotel until the next morning, order in some room service and then make their way home. Joe ended up filing a defamation lawsuit against those two women for $10,000,036 - $36 for the two burgers they got in the morning :p

I mean I personally don't know Joe Francis, but as a man who has seen these type of girls and these situations over and over of girls that have accused people with a certain level of wealth or status it just makes me question these alleged rape charges more than just assume they are true.

But "Girls Gone Wild" chieftain Joe Francis says even if she was 17, Florida and Federal law -- and Joe knows a thing or two about that -- permits her to be filmed in any state of undress ... as long as she consents and there is no "sexual contact." (And there was none, Joe says.)

um.. thought u can take pics of a nude girl regardless of age, as long as she consents and there is no "sexual contact."

1st amendment

(think art)

But they have to be of an age to be able to consent willfully. You can't just ask any kid if they consent because they may not fully understand the consequences of what they are doing. Before a certain age you are in child pornography territory, using the art excuse can only take you so far.

At 18 years they have the mental aptitude to decide. At 17 years 364 days and 23 hours they are a child that doesn't know any better.

You know, I always thought that Joe Francis was a completely slimy being. But this made me think differently, as I have seen in action many girls like this. Do you have any links that specifically talk about the dropped lawsuits against joe?

http://www.femalefirst.co.uk/e...Joe+Francis-42231.html -- That's about two underage girls who filed a lawsuit against him for using video footage. They are quoted as saying after dropping the lawsuit "Girls Gone Wild and Joe Francis have suffered as a result of this law suit (sic) and our actions."

"In March 2004, a Texas college student accused Francis of raping her in his Miami hotel room...Francis reported that he had consensual sex with the woman. The state attorney's office declined to press charges and noted that a blood test did not show any evidence of drugs.[20] Francis has sued his accuser for $25 million?plus thirty-six dollars?for defamation;[21] the $36 representing the breakfast she and her girlfriend had eaten and charged to the hotel room after the alleged rape." -- Answers.com

I'm not saying Joe Francis is a saint, but most of the rape accusations that are made against him I always take with a grain of salt. It's pretty easy for any girl who's had sex with him when she's drunk to accuse him of rape and immediately the media will find Francis guilty for the simple fact of the business that he is in.

I read this comment from another site and i think it hits the nail on the head, "Im sure there are countless telanted, strong and intelligent young women spending their Saturday nights writing their doctoral PhD dissertations, composing songs, volunteering at hospitals or food banks or whatever other noble persuits they choose. You probably wont find them piss drunk, flashing their boobies, in a club at 2 am, hanging out with their equally pathetic male counterparts. These are the fairly affluent young Americans who consume more resources than entire third world countries, and who, "like, totally don't have time for that Iraqistani war thing, 'cause theres a, like, killer sale on jeans at the mall..."

I'll save my sympathy for the mother killed in India because she asked for a divorce, the 12 year old Ukranian girl forced into prostitution, or the grandmother blown to pieces by a cluster bomb in Iraq..."

You need to ask yourself this question before claiming Joe Francis to be a piece of shit - do these women have no responsibility for their actions? Why are they portrayed as "victims"? They are making choices for a chance at fame and selling themselves out, especially now that this product "Girls Gone Wild" is well known and using the excuse of "drinking too much" is akin to the DUI driver who believes he/she isn't really "responsible" because they were drunk. These women know full well what they are getting into as soon as they walk into a night club where the "Girls Gone Wild" bus is. It is up to them to control their drinking and realize that if they do drink too much they might lose sight of their morals and do something they wouldn't normally do if they were sober.
