I come into our computer lab, and see an open cd drive.

Don't touch the cd drive on that computer, somebody thought that's where the floppies went and shoved two floppies into it

I had someone who tried to put in a floppy into a zip disk.

that's at least somewhat the same shape 😛

welcome to the forums

I had a co-worker come up to me today and ask how he could get the files from his square thing onto the round thing, because the computer in the conference room only took round things.

Man..sometimes its REALLY hard not to just laugh out loud at these people..

One time I couldn't get a 5.25 inch floppy disk into a 3.5 inch drive I really needed to read that disk so I trimmed it up with some scissors until it fit. I got it in, but I must have got it close to a magnet or something because it wouldn't read the disk. Weird 😕

I went to visit a co-worker today, and noticed that a class was being taught. I asked what was being taught. I was told "Computer Literacy 101". 😀

it's like an oxymoron, cutting a disk and then admitting that you know that a magnet can wipe out its contents. 😛
