Yea it is a price/performance comparision that is why the mx and voodoo 3 beat the gts. Dont you guys read the bottom of the page?

So what...that bench do nothing...Who gives a flying f*ck about that. Sure I would buy a V3 based on that bench...NOT. Or how about a TNT2 allllrighty then that would be it...Naaa don't think so.
 
I think they need to throw the idea out the window, it's way too confusing when the GF2MX is on top.😉
 
I don't see anything wrong with it. Its just a simple price/performance graph. Lots of other sites comment on things like as well (eg &quot;30% faster performance for 50% more price&quot😉 but they don't have fully fledged graphs.

Tom's hardware did the same with cost/performance graphs of the Pentium 3/Celeron chips and found the ones with the best value. As the other guys say, you should read before jumping to conclusions.

Well I doubt most people would buy a board based on this but it is still interesting to see. Somebody who wants the best price/performance and doesn't really care what the board is might use this to factor into their decision.

I take your point though: 3D mark is pretty much a useless benchmark. They should have done a price/performance evaluation on each of the games which they benchmarked normally.

Except in half of the benchmarks which are 32 bit! 😉
Actually that's a good point. When determining overall value did they take into account of the V3's lack of features (no 32 bit, no large textures, no texture compression)?

Nice to see the Voodoo 5 coming last as usual. Doesn't matter what benchmark you run really! 😀
 
Well I do, cuz it's dumb! Some idiot will go there not knowing the intent of the benchmarks, and make an a** out of himself the next day by telling all his school mates, that a V3 and MX will kick the sh*t out of a GTS! Then they?ll make fun of him when they read the actual intent!

I?m still wiping the milk off of my monitor, after seeing the initial part of that benchmark open up on my screen?LOL! None the less It?s a good laugh!
 
They should label the graphs better, and maybe add a Geforce2 Ultra in it to get like 5 FPS, so more people can be fooled.
